Product Description:
316/316L stainless steel plate is a particularly popular stainless
steel grade like 304 stainless steel sheet, in which the excellent
corrosion resistance is better than that of 304. 316 stainless
steel plates are widely used in marine and highly acidic
environments, underwater equipment, surgical tools, food and
pharmaceutical applications. Compared with the more economical 304
stainless steel plate, molybdenum is added to the 316 stainless
steel plate, which greatly improves the corrosion resistance of the

Features:
- 316/316L stainless steel plate products have good appearance and
gloss;
- Due to the addition of Mo (2~3%), the corrosion resistance is
improved, especially the pitting corrosion resistance is excellent.
- Excellent high temperature resistance strength
- Excellent work hardening property (weak magnetism after processing)
- Non-magnetic in solid solution state
- Good welding performance, can be welded using all standard welding
methods.
- In order to obtain the best corrosion resistance, the welded
section of 316 stainless steel needs to be annealed after welding
- If 316L stainless steel is used, post-weld annealing is not
required
